Dolce and Gabbana celebration of white for spring 2014

We distinctively remember the striking emotions that have literally overwhelmed us a morning of May on the terrace of our hotel in Taormina: the breath of the early morning breeze, the scent of the lemons, the view of the contrasting blue and green of the surrounding, and the unmistakable flavor of an almond granita… It’s not surprising that such a spectacular land as Sicily was and still is an endless source of inspiration for many artists and in particular for the fashion designer duo Dolce and Gabbana. A line of their children’s spring 2014 collection is a celebration of white that comes to live thanks to silk and voile embroidered with elegant flowers, macramé lace knotted into daisies, or sophisticated guipure lace with floral pattern. Gorgeous!

Conserviamo un nitido ricordo delle suggestive emozioni che ci hanno letteralmente travolto una mattina di maggio sulla terrazza del nostro hotel a Taormina: il soffio della brezza mattutina, il profumo dei limoni, la vista del contrasto tra il blu e il verde del paesaggio, e l’inconfondibile sapore di una granita alla mandorla … non può sorprendere che una terra spettacolare come la Sicilia sia stata e sia tutt’ora una fonte inesauribile d’ispirazione per numerosi artisti ed in particolare per il duo di designer Dolce e Gabbana. Una linea della loro collezione per bambini, della primavera 2014, è una celebrazione del bianco che prende vita grazie a seta e voile ricamati con eleganti fiori, a pizzo macramè annodato in margheritine, o a sofisticati pizzi guipure con motivi floreali. Meravigliosa!
