Pitti Bimbo 79, Twin-set stunning spring 2015 – stopover 3
At around 10.00AM we were ready to leave for the most traditional section of the fair: Pitti Bimbo. We left the SuperStreet area, crossed the gardens of the fortress and entered the “Costruzioni Lorenesi”.
At the first floor of the first building stood the stand of one of our most beloved labels: Twin-set Girl. The area was organized along three main rooms, each of which hosting a different line. The first was the brand new newborn line (ages 3-24 months) that from spring 2015 will join the Baby (ages 2-6 years) and the Girl (ages 6-16 years), completing the offering of the label for our little darlings.
We found baby crib sets, blankets, little sheets and brilliant gift ideas as well as caps, booties, bibs and onesies. A vast collection reflecting all the distinctive elements of the label: lace, embroidery, plissé, organza and satin. All reminded us when we were little and we used to spend our day in grandma’s attic browsing in her trunks for precious treasures to dress our dolls with!
The colours were soft and declined in various themes: shades of white ranging from off-white to Chantilly, a sorbet palette with an outstanding shade of peach, a romantic pale pink, and a marvelous emerald green. They are all replicated in the other lines, with the addition of a strong black and red theme for a trendy little girl… but this is another story which we will tell you later on the blog.
Verso le 10:00 eravamo pronte per la parte più tradizionale della fiera: Pitti Bimbo. Abbiamo lasciato l’area SuperStreet, attraversato i giardini della fortezza e siamo entrate nelle Costruzioni Lorenesi.
Al primo piano del primo edificio si trovava lo stand di uno dei marchi che più amiamo: Twin-set Girl. L’area era organizzata in tre stanze principali, ciascuna delle quali ospitava una linea diversa. La prima era la nuovissima linea neonato (età 3 24 mesi), che, dalla primavera 2015, affiancherà la Baby (età 2-6 anni) e la Girl (età 6-16), completando l’offerta del marchio per le nostre piccoline.
Abbiamo trovato set per la culla, copertine, lenzuolini, e bellissime idee regalo così come cappellini, babbucce, bavaglini e pagliaccetti. Una collezione importante che riflette tutti gli elementi distintivi del marchio: pizzi, ricami, plissé, organza e raso. Tutto ci ha riportato a quando eravamo piccole e trascorrevamo le giornate nella soffitta della nonna a curiosare tra i suoi bauli per cercare tesori preziosi con cui vestire le nostre bambole!
I colori sono morbidi e declinati in vari temi: le sfumature del bianco che vanno dall’off white al Chantilly, i toni sorbetto con un’eccezionale sfumatura color pesca, il romantico rosa pallido, e un meraviglioso verde smeraldo. Vengono tutti ripresi anche nelle altre linee, con l’aggiunta di un tema forte in rosso e nero per una bambina grintosa… ma questa è un’altra storia che vi racconteremo più avanti sul blog.
