More summer holidays

To go back to work is not an easy task on an ordinary Monday morning, after a two days weekend, but to go back after the summer holidays is just too much to cope with. However, in the end we have made it through the day more or less unharmed, and we are now ready to share a new post.
Since we are not willing to let summer and our holidays go, we have chosen some pictures of our days in Tuscany. After the first week in Maremma, we headed one hundred kilometers north where we found a wonderful farmhouse located next to Castiglioncello.
The restoration of the farm has been done with great care and attention, selecting only local materials and leveraging as much as possible on reclaimed. The furnishing is comprised of restored antique pieces as well as handcrafted ones. And the result is simply amazing, preserving and valorising the original architecture and its environment.

Tornare al lavoro non è un’impresa facile in un normale lunedi mattina, dopo un fine settimana di due giorni, ma rientrare dopo le vacanze estive è semplicemente troppo difficile da sopportare. Tuttavia, alla fine abbiamo superato la giornata più o meno illese, ed ora siamo pronte per condividere un nuovo post.
Dal momento che non siamo disposte a lasciare andare l’estate e con essa le nostre vacanze, abbiamo scelto alcune immagini dei nostri giorni in Toscana. Dopo la prima settimana trascorsa in Maremma, siamo risalite per circa 100 km a nord dove abbiamo trovato un meraviglioso agriturismo nei pressi di Castiglioncello.
Il restauro del casolare è stato realizzato con grande cura ed attenzione, selezionando solo materiali locali e sfruttando il più possibile il materiale di recupero. L’arredamento è composto da mobili antichi restaurati, oppure da pezzi realizzati artigianalmente. Il risultato è semplicemente meraviglioso, e preserva, valorizzandola, l’architettura originaria e il suo contesto naturale.
