On entering il gufo new store in Milan we felt like we’ve walked into our best friend’s house, one of a kind place where you can get comfortable and want to stay a while. Would it be for the familiar friendly smiles or for the sincere looks that have welcomed us, or again for the warm and enveloping atmosphere of the place, we can’t quite tell, but we did not resist and we got lost in it.
The store mood is inspired by nature with a subtle reminder to the farm life style: the wooden floor, the rustic furnishings, the watercolours arboreal print on the walls, the baskets full of red apples scattered around and last but not least the beautiful reproduction of sheep in wool and wood.
In fact, the event organized for new store opening has been also a celebration of the second capsule collection of garments in 100% Merino wool realized by Il Gufo together with The Woolmark Company. The novelty of the season is the use of a particular Merino wool yarn that makes it even more resistant to machine washing.
As per the brand’s DNA, all the details have been meticulously studied and specifically realized for the place where the new store has progressively taken place. All echoes the stunning simplicity which we love so much in il gufo.

Entrando nel nuovo negozio de il gufo a Milano ci siamo sentite come quando andiamo a trovare i nostri amici più cari, si arriva in un posto unico, dove ci si può mettere a proprio agio e si vuole stare per un po’. Che sia per gli ormai familiari sorrisi amichevoli o per gli sguardi sinceri che ci hanno accolto, oppure per l’atmosfera calda ed avvolgente del luogo, non siamo in grado di dirlo con certezza; non siamo state in grado di resistervi e ci siamo dimenticate di tutto.
L’ambientazione del negozio si ispira alla natura, con un lieve rimando allo stile di vita agreste delle fattorie: il pavimento in legno, l’arredamento rustico, gli acquerelli con motivi arborei sulle pareti, i cesti pieni di mele rosse sparsi qua e là, ed infine le bellissime riproduzioni di pecorelle in lana e legno.
Infatti, l’evento organizzato per l’apertura del nuovo negozio è stato anche una celebrazione della seconda capsule collection di capi al 100% in lana merino realizzati da Il Gufo in collaborazione con The Woolmark Company. La novità della stagione è l’uso di un particolare filato di lana Merino che la rende ancora più resistente ai lavaggi in lavatrice.
Come è nel DNA del marchio, tutti i dettagli sono stati meticolosamente studiati e concepiti appositamente per lo spazio in cui è stato realizzato il nuovo negozio. Tutto riecheggia la splendida semplicità che tanto amiamo ne il Gufo.
