Our cousin Stefano
One of the reasons why we love so much going back to our little village in the mountains is that there lives our cousin Stefano. Being born only two months after Anna, the two have practically grown up together, and we can dare say that he is her best friend!
There are many games they like to do, but there is a special one, that they play more than anything else: the house under the old desk in grandpa’s office! They grab one of grandma’s huge blankets, they put it over the desk, and they fix it to the chairs around it. Then, they shove under toys, food and pillows… and they leave. They build up the most impossible stories, letting their imagination taking them whenever they want. Carefree wonderful memories that they will always bring with them!
P.S. just realized that on the international women day we wrote about one of the very few men in our lives… but that’s us!
Una delle ragioni per le quali amiamo così tanto tornare al piccolo paese tra le montagne è che lì vive il nostro cuginetto Stefano. Essendo nato solo due mesi dopo Anna, i due sono praticamente cresciuti insieme così che possiamo ragionevolmente affermare che lui sia il suo migliore amico!
Ci sono molti giochi che amano fare, ma ce n’è uno speciale, che amano fare più di ogni altro: la casa sotto la vecchia scrivania nello studio del nonno! Prendono la grande coperta della nonna, la poggiano sopra e la fissano con le sedie che dispongono attorno. Poi vi infilano sotto giocattoli, cibo e cuscini e partono. Inventano le storie più fantastiche, lasciando che la fantasia li porti dove vogliono. Ricordi meravigliosi e spensierati che porteranno sempre con sé!
P.S. ci siamo accorte che proprio nel giorno della donna abbiamo scritto a proposito di uno dei pochi uomini nella nostra vita… ma queste siamo noi!
