Back to Africa with Zara kids yellow outfit
We go back to Africa thanks to this bright yellow outfit that we found at Zara kids, just before leaving for our journey.
In the area next to our house, there is a dusty road along which the oldest resorts of the coast have been built. Most of them are now closed, both for the period of the year and for the recent recession, but there are stunning and fascinating constructions that are well worth seeing: huge entrance halls, stunning wall paintings vast garden areas. They testify of ages long gone, immediately after World War II, when many overseas visitors came in from all over Europe and Malindi was the heart of a pulsing daily and nightly glamorous lifestyle.
Perhaps not the best pictures ever of little Alice, but we liked very much the atmosphere of the light and shadow, as well as the contrasting effect of her outfit and the stunning old door with beautiful carvings.
Torniamo in Africa grazie a questo vestitino giallo brillante che abbiamo trovato da Zara kids, poco prima di partire per il nostro viaggio.
Nella zona vicino alla casa che ci ha ospitato, c’è una strada polverosa lungo la quale sono stati costruiti i più vecchi resort della costa. La maggior parte di questi oggi sono chiusi, sia per il periodo dell’anno sia per la recente recessione, ma ci sono delle costruzione impressionanti e dal fascino indiscusso che vale la pena di vedere: imponenti ingressi, enormi dipinti murali, vasti giardini. Testimonianza di un periodo ormai lontano, subito dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, quando moltissimi turisti arrivavano da tutta Europa, e Malindi era il cuore pulsante di un instancabile jetset, di giorno e di notte.
Forse non le migliori foto di sempre della piccola Alice, ma ci piaceva molto il gioco di ombre e luci, così come l’effetto di contrasto del suo vestitino e della splendida porta antica con sculture in legno.
