Elsy party dresses for a memorable afternoon

If you follow us on Facebook, you know that a couple of weeks ago we had planned our first picnic of this season. Needless to say, we love eating outdoors, playing in the grass and running barefoot.
However, the bad weather spoiled our plans and we had to come up with a backup that turned out to be just great. We quickly transformed the picnic into a spring party and started the prep. We got most of our favourite, usually forbidden, food: pastries, cookies, confetti and candies. We dressed up like two princesses: a white dress with an adorable floral print, a bolero cardigan and a crown with roses. And here we were, ready for a tea worthy of Alice in wonderland.
But, could it ever be a real picnic without fun? Of course not, we had inflated lots of white and pink balloons and we ended the party playing with them and having fun popping them. Memorable.

Se ci seguite su Facebook, sapete che un paio di settimane volevamo organizzare il nostro primo picnic della stagione. Inutile dirvi che adoriamo mangiare all’aria aperta, giocare sull’erba e correre a piedi nudi.
Tuttavia, il brutto tempo ci ha rovinato i piani e quindi abbiamo dovuto inventarci un’alternativa che si è rivelata un’idea grandiosa. Il picnic è stato rapidamente trasformato in una festa di primavera e sono iniziati i preparativi. Abbiamo comprato molti dei nostri cibi preferiti, che non ci sono generalmente non consentiti: sfogliatine, biscotti con il cioccolato, confetti e caramelle. Ci siamo vestite come due principesse: un abitino bianco con un’adorabile stampa floreale, un coprispalle ed una coroncina di rose. Ed eccoci pronte per un tè degno di Alice nel paese delle meraviglie.
Ma, avrebbe potuto essere un vero e proprio pic-nic senza un gioco? Certo che no, per questo abbiamo gonfiato un sacco di palloncini bianchi e rosa e abbiamo finito la festa giocando e facendo a gara a chi ne faceva scoppiare di più. Indimenticabile.
