Pitti Bimbo 81, La Stupenderia – stopover 4
At around 3.30PM we were crossing the central area of the main pavilion, heading toward the stand of La Stupenderia, where a very special event was awaiting for us.
“Liberiamo le farfalle”, this is the name of the humanitarian project which we’ve been introduced to by Roberta de Riso, the creative director of the brand, with the support of the TV host Ellen Hidding and the testimony of sweet Martina and her brave mom, Luisa. The initiative aims to help ProRETT, an ONLUS founded by parents of daughters affected by the RETT syndrome to promote, accelerate and finance the scientific research.
We’ve learned that this terrible disease reveals itself almost exclusively in little girl, who are born healthy, between 6 to 18 months and it progressively leads to the loss of almost all the skills acquired imprisoning them in a hostile body. Prof. Nicoletta Landsberger with her team of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, finally find a therapy for this disease and this initiative will help them progress on it.
La Stupenderia will fund the project donating the 50% of the sales of a white t-shirt dress with a gold open cage and a free butterfly, which is the heart and symbol of the initiative. After the press conference we’ve spent some time in the stand, admiring the beautiful spring summer 2016 collection, which has inspired the iconic garment.
Verso le 15:30 stavamo attraversando la zona centrale del padiglione principale, dirette verso lo stand de La Stupenderia dove ci aspettava un evento molto speciale.
“Liberiamo le farfalle”, questo il nome del progetto umanitario che ci è stato presentato da Roberta De Riso, direttrice creativa del marchio, con l’aiuto della conduttrice televisiva Ellen Hidding e con la testimonianza della dolce Martina e della sua coraggiosa mamma, Luisa. L’iniziativa mira ad aiutare ProRETT, ONLUS fondata dai genitori di bimbe colpite dalla sindrome di Rett per promuovere, accelerare e finanziare la ricerca scientifica.
Abbiamo imparato che questa terribile malattia si manifesta tra i 6 e i 18 mesi quasi esclusivamente in femmine nate sane, e porta progressivamente alla perdita di quasi tutte le competenze acquisite, imprigionandole in un corpo ostile. La professoressa Nicoletta Landsberger con il suo team dell’Ospedale San Raffaele di Milano, ha trovato una terapia per la malattia e questa iniziativa aiuterà a fare progressi.
La Stupenderia finanzierà il progetto donando il 50% delle vendite di un abitino bianco con una gabbia d’oro aperta ed una farfalla che vola libera, il cuore e il simbolo dell’operazione. Dopo la conferenza stampa abbiamo passato un po ‘di tempo nello stand, ammirando la bellissima collezione primavera estate 2016 che ha ispirato a questo capo icona.

La Stupenderia Summer 2016, gorgeous sleeveless dress for baby girls. We love this print and the contrasting effect of flowers and butterfiles on the solid shade of the background. It will be available in an another model for grown-up girls.
