No added sugar spring 2015 around Scansano
At the very beginning of our holiday the weather has not been exactly kind to us, but this has not prevented us from enjoying our being all together at last . We spent some time visiting the area and discovering the ancient towns of the hilly Maremma inland.
Here you see us strolling around Scansano, a town of medieval origin, notable for Morellino di Scansano, one of our favourite red wines. We explored the old town, went on a view point from which we could admire the beautiful surrounding hills, through narrow tunnels and under dark arches. In the way home, we even saw a couple of deer, needless to say this made the girls literally thrilled about this trip.
All’inizio della vacanza il tempo non è stato proprio clemente con noi, ma questo non ci ha di certo impedito di goderci l’essere finalmente tutti insieme. Abbiamo trascorso un po’ di tempo a visitare la zona e a scoprire gli antichi borghi delle colline maremmane.
Qui ci vedete in giro per Scansano, un paese di origine medievale, molto rinomato per il Morellino di Scansano, uno dei nostri vini rossi preferiti. Abbiamo esplorato la città vecchia, ci siamo recate in un punto panoramico da dove abbiamo potuto ammirare le splendide colline circostanti, siamo passate per stretti cunicoli e sotto archi angusti e bui. Lungo la strada di casa, abbiamo visto persino un paio di cervi, inutile dire che questo ha fatto letteralmente impazzire le bimbe.
