A day at the beach

The coast near Castiglioncello is characterized by beautiful beaches of various types, ranging from dark hard rocks, to soft white dunes, some of which have been listed as “blue flag” for their cleanness. Needless to say, the girls love the sand and we are more than glad to make them happy.
Here you see them during a day at the beach near Vada, in the area called by many the Caribbean of the Tyrrhenian for its white sand. However, the whiteness of the shore is not a gift of nature, but an effect of the bicarbonate manufacturing plant in Rosignano Marittimo, just north of Vada. It was a very sunny and windy day, but even fi Anna and Alice have been unable to swim, we had fun running on the beach and collecting the most beautiful stones for our collection.
A final note: if we ever have a pet, it will be nothing less than beautiful Alabama, a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog we met on the beach. We have all fallen in love with her!

La costa vicino a Castiglioncello è caratterizzata da meravigliose spiagge di vario tipo, che vanno da grandi scogli di roccia scura, a morbide dune di sabbia bianca, alcune delle quali vengono regolarmente insignite della “bandiera blu” per la loro pulizia. Inutile dirvi che le bimbe amano la sabbia e noi siamo ben felici di accontentarle.
Qui le vedete durante una giornata trascorsa a Vada, nella zona chiamata da molti i Caraibi del Tirreno per la sua sabbia bianca. Il candore della spiaggia, tuttavia, non è un dono naturale, ma l’effetto dello stabilimento di produzione di bicarbonato di Rosignano Marittimo, appena a nord di Vada. E ‘stata una giornata con sole forte e molto vento, ma anche se Anna ed Alice non sono riuscite a fare il bagno, ci siamo divertite a correre sulla spiaggia e a raccogliere le pietre più belle per la nostra collezione.
Una nota finale: se mai avremo un animale vero, non sarà diverso dal meraviglioso Alabama, un cane lupo cecoslovacco che abbiamo incontrato sulla spiaggia e di cui ci siamo innamorate.
