Halloween kids costumes witch and cat (part II)
The witch had a cat,
and a very tall hat,
and long ginger hair
which she wore in a plait.
We definitely had in our mind “room on the broom”, the wonderful story by Julia Donaldson, while choosing the first couple of characters for our series dedicated to Halloween. Till the end we’ve been in doubt whether to choose the mean dragon or the nice cat as animal companion (which in reality is striped, and not black like ours), but in the end we went for the easier and less scary option.

La strega aveva un gatto
ed un cappello molto alto
e lunghi capelli rossi
che raccoglieva in una treccia
Avevamo senza dubbio in mente “la strega Rossella”, meravigliosa storia di Julia Donaldson, quando abbiamo scelto la prima coppia di personaggi per questa serie dedicata ad Halloween. Fino all’ultimo momento siamo state in dubbio se scegliere come compagno animale il drago cattivo o il simpatico gatto (che in verità nella storia è tigrato e non nero come il nostro), ma alla fine abbiamo scelto l’opzione più facile e meno spaventosa.
