Our trip to Baja California Loreto area discovering the fascinating Nopolo bay
The morning of our fifth day in La Paz (see here) we woke up very early and we got ready to leave. A quick breakfast, and there we were, driving up north toward Baja California Loreto area. Soon the girls fell asleep again and fortunately, they slept almost for the entire trip. In fact, getting up early in the morning, the bad condition of the road, and the cloudy weather, made these 400 kilometres drive – the longest of our holiday – harder than expected. It was a non-stop 5 hours, but the view of our final destination was absolutely worth it!
We stayed in a resort located in the inner Nopolo Bay, 10 kilometres far from the town of Loreto, with a beautiful black sand beach, next to a stunning golf curt, surrounded by a range of picturesque mountains. The place was so great that we spent the rest of the day between the beach and the pool. In all, we stayed there three nights and we absolutely love it. Moreover, the staff of the hotel was so kind to us that one eve they made an amazing surprise to the girls… but we will talk about it in another blog post.

La mattina del nostro quinto giorno a La Paz (vedi qui) ci siamo svegliate molto presto e ci siamo preparate per partire. Una rapida colazione ed eccoci alla guida, dirette a nord, verso Baja California Loreto area. Ben presto le bimbe si sono riaddormentate e, fortunatamente, hanno dormito per quasi tutto il viaggio. Infatti, la levataccia del mattino, le pessime condizioni della strada, ed il cattivo tempo hanno reso questi 400 chilometri di viaggio – il più lungo della nostra vacanza – più complicati del previsto. E’ stata una non-stop di 5 ore, ma nel vedere la nostra destinazione ci siamo rese conto che ne era assolutamente valsa la pena!
Ci siamo fermate in un resort situato nell’intima baia Nopolo, a 10 chilometri dalla città di Loreto, caratterizzato da una bella spiaggia di sabbia scura, accanto ad uno splendido campo da golf circondato da una suggestiva catena di montagne. Il posto ci è sembrato così bello che abbiamo trascorso il resto della giornata tra spiaggia e piscina. In tutto, siamo rimaste qui tre notti e ci siamo trovate benissimo. Inoltre, il personale del resort è stato troppo gentile con noi, ed una sera ha organizzato una sorpresa per le bimbe… ma ve ne parleremo sul blog in un altro post.
