A visit to the Museo del Novecento in a dimension out of space and time
The Museo del Novecento is one of the most fascinating places we’ve recently visited. Located in the very heart of Milan, precisely in Piazza del Duomo, it hosts a collection of about 400 works from the twentieth century, one of the most important Italian art selections of the period.
However, this is just one of the impressive things about the museum; the other is the strength of the architecture in the context. The helical inner staircase that takes to the upper floor is really impressive, and the Fontana hall, devoted to Lucio Fontana, is an immersive place that takes you for a while in a dimension out of space and time.
One of a kind place that exalted the beauty of our little protagonists and their outfits, taken from Ermanno Scervino Junior fall winter 2016 collection. We have to confess that when Ariana suggested setting our new photo-shooting there, we were initially skeptical, but, as you have surely guessed by now, we changed or mind the exact instant we set foot in the place. Moreover, looking at the pictures below it could not be any different.

Il Museo del Novecento è uno dei luoghi più affascinanti che abbiamo visitato di recente. Situato nel cuore di Milano, proprio su Piazza del Duomo, esso ospita una collezione di circa 400 opere del XX secolo, di fatto una tra le più importanti raccolte d’arte italiana di quel periodo.
Questo però è solo uno degli elementi singolari del Museo del Novecento; l’altro è la bellezza della sua architettura calata nel contesto. La scala interna a forma elicoidale, che dalla metropolitana porta ai piani superiori, è veramente impressionante, mentre la sala Fontana, dedicata a Lucio Fontana, è un luogo immersivo capace di trasportarti in una dimensione fuori dallo spazio e dal tempo.
Un luogo unico che ha esaltato la bellezza delle nostre piccole protagoniste e dei loro abitini della collezione autunno inverno 2016 di Ermanno Scervino Junior. Dobbiamo confessare che quando Ariana ha suggerito di realizzarvi il nostro nuovo progetto fotografico, siamo partite un po’ scettiche, ma, come avete sicuramente intuito, abbiamo cambiato idea all’istante, nel momento stesso in cui vi siamo entrate. E infatti, guardando il risultato delle foto qui sotto, non sarebbe potuto essere diversamente.
Una nota di chiusura: grazie ad Anna, Chiara, Emma, e Greta per essere state le nostre meravigliose protagoniste. Grazie ad Ariana per le splendide fotografie. Grazie al Museo del Novecento per la calorosa accoglienza che ci ha riservato e per averci dato la possibilità di realizzare il progetto in un luogo così speciale.
