Autumn in Rome: the Roman Forum and a blue outfit from Aletta fall winter 2016 collection
What have you been doing during this day after Christmas? The girls have been playing together with their cousins with the newly received toys from Santa, so mum had to give up the idea of tiding up a house filled with empty boxes, crumpled wrapping paper and ripped apart ribbons and bows.
Instead, she spent some time editing our Christmas pictures (soon on the blog) and some others taken this autumn. In particular, those from the trip to Rome, that we made during the Feast of Saint Ambrose.
Since we had only three days, we opted for a centrally located hotel in order not to waste precious time commuting to the attractions we wanted to visit. The first day we went to the ancient Rome: the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. The second day we visited the Vatican and the nearby area. The third and last day we strolled around the city centre, from piazza di Spagna to piazza Navona.
We will soon share more of this trip with hints and suggestion for a trip to Rome with kids. For now, some of the pics we took from the Roman Forum.

Come avete trascorso questa giornata dopo il Natale? Le bimbe hanno voluto giocare insieme ai cuginetti con i doni appena ricevuti da Babbo Natale, così la mamma ha dovuto rinunciare all’idea di sistemare una casa piena di scatole vuote, carta da regalo strappata, e pezzi di nastri e fiocchi.
Ha quindi trascorso un po’ di tempo a sistemare le nostre foto di Natale (prestissimo sul blog) ed alcune altre scattate durante quest’autunno. In particolare, quelle del viaggio a Roma, che abbiamo fatto durante il ponte di Sant’Ambrogio.
Dato che avevamo solo tre giorni, abbiamo scelto un hotel situato in una posizione centrale, così da non sprecare tempo prezioso nei trasferimenti verso le attrazioni che volevamo visitare. Il primo giorno abbiamo visitato Roma antica: il Colosseo e il Foro Romano. Il secondo giorno lo abbiamo trascorso in Vaticano e nella zona circostante. Il terzo ed ultimo giorno abbiamo fatto una passeggiata in centro da piazza di Spagna a piazza Navona.
Condivideremo presto altri ricordi di questo viaggio e i nostri suggerimenti per un viaggio a Roma con i bambini. Per il momento, ecco alcune delle foto che abbiamo scattato al Foro Romano.
