We can’t believe our little Aurora has turned 3 months already. It seems like yesterday that mom and dad ran to the hospital to meet her for the first time, but at the same time we feel as if she’d always been with us! Mom hates hospitals, so that day they went there really (but really) at the very last moment – 45 minutes after they entered the hospital Aurora was born .
Auri loves to be held and cuddled, especially by her big sisters who can’t wait to go home from school to “play” with her. She has recently started to smile and she keeps on smiling for most of the day filling our hearts with joy! At night, however, she doesn’t really like to sleep unless she is with mom… or better on mom! So, most of the time we end up sleeping all together – Anna, Alice, Aurora and mom!
In the pictures below, she was two weeks and at that time she was sleeping most of the time alone. One of the things that we have used the most since her first days of life are baby grows in chenille. We find them extremely comfortable for the baby, being soft and warm, and very practical for mom. The other is the blanket. Mom uses it to wrap Aurora when breastfeeds her. So, when she puts her back in her cradle, it keeps mom’s warm and scent. Those are a couple of essential elements of a newborn layette – ours is from Aletta. A perfect baby gift idea, especially for Christmas.
Non possiamo credere che la nostra piccola Aurora abbia già compiuto 3 mesi. Sembra ieri che la mamma e il papà correvano all’ospedale per incontrarla per la prima volta, ma allo stesso tempo, é come se fosse sempre stata con noi! La mamma odia gli ospedali, così quel giorno vi sono andati veramente (ma veramente) all’ultimo – 45 minuti dopo essere entrati in ospedale era nata Aurora .
Auri ama essere tenuta in braccio e coccolata, in particolare dalle sorelle maggiori che non vedono l’ora di tornare a casa da scuola per “giocare” con lei. Recentemente ha iniziato a sorridere e sorride per gran parte del giorno riempiendo i nostri cuori di gioia! Di notte invece non le piace molto dormire a meno che non sia con mamma… o meglio sulla mamma! Quindi, la maggior parte delle volte finiamo per dormire tutte insieme – Anna, Alice, Aurora e la mamma!
Nelle foto qui sotto, aveva due settimane e all’epoca dormiva la maggior parte del tempo e lo faceva da sola. Una delle cose che abbiamo usato maggiormente sin dai suoi primi giorni di vita sono le tutine in ciniglia. Le troviamo estremamente comode per il bambino, essendo morbide e calde, e molto pratici per la mamma. L’altra è la copertina. La mamma la usa per avvolgere Aurora quanto la allatta. In questo modo, quando la rimette nella sua culla, mantiene il calore e il profumo della mamma. Questi sono i due elementi essenziali di un corredino per neonato – il nostro è di Aletta. Lo troviamo un’idea regalo perfetta per la nascita, soprattutto in un periodo speciale come il Natale.
