Aurora’s baptism
It’s quite some time that we wanted to share some photos from Aurora’s baptism, and we finally did it! So, here they are.
We baptized our little one the second weekend of May. Just like for Anna and Alice, we organized the ceremony in the church of our native village, among the mountains, together with all our beloved. Although we love Milan where we’ve been living for almost twenty years, our roots and hearts are still where we were born and grow up. Therefore, we could have never done differently.
During the ceremony, Aurora has behaved and although she did not sleep a second, she never cried either, not even when the priest poured the holy water on her head. Anna and Alice helped carrying the offers for the ceremony, while mum was clearly touched.
It has been a very special day, that we will always remember also thanks to Ariana’s pic who’s always giving us wonderful memories.
Il battesimo di Aurora
È da un po’di tempo che volevamo condividere alcune foto del battesimo di Aurora ed alla fine ce l’abbiamo fatta! Eccole qui.
Abbiamo battezzato la nostra piccolina il secondo fine settimana di maggio. Proprio come per Anna ed Alice, abbiamo organizzato la cerimonia nella chiesa del nostro paese natale, tra montagne, insieme a tutti i nostri cari. Anche se amiamo Milano, dove viviamo ormai da quasi vent’anni, le nostre radici e i nostri cuori sono rimasti nel paesino dove siamo nati e cresciuti e quindi non avremmo mai potuto fare diversamente.
Durante la cerimonia Aurora è stata bravissima e, anche se non ha dormito un secondo, non ha neppure pianto, nemmeno quando il sacerdote le ha versato sulla testa l’acqua santa. Anna ed Alice hanno aiutato a portare le offerte per la cerimonia, mentre la mamma è stata visibilmente emozionata per tutto il tempo.
È stata una giornata molto speciale, che ricorderemo sempre, anche grazie alle foto dell’immancabile Ariana che ci regala sempre dei ricordi meravigliosi.
Aurora’s baptism – the ceremony dress
Our regular readers will not be surprised to hear that for Aurora’s baptism we chose a dress from Aletta spring summer 2018 collection.
We took decisions on various points for the baptism, but not on Aurora’s dress. Just like for her layette set (see here), also for her baptism we chose Aletta. For the love that we feel for this amazing Italian brand, for the beauty of its creations, and for the great affection for the people who work there.
We choose a dress in phard tulle with a stunning asimmetric skirt, and matched it with a lace hairband and a pair of ballet shoes with volants in tulle.
We love the way she looked in it! And you?
Il battesimo di Aurora – l’abitino per la cerimonia
I nostri lettori abituali non saranno sorpresi nel sentire che per il battesimo di Aurora abbiamo scelto un abitino della collezione primavera estate 2018 di Aletta.
Dobbiamo ammettere che per il battessimo abbiamo fatto scelte su vari punti, ma non sul vestitino di Aurora. Proprio come per il suo corredino (vedi qui) anche per il suo battesimo non abbiamo pensato ad altri che ad Aletta. Per l’amore che proviamo per questo meraviglioso marchio italiano, per la bellezza delle sue creazioni, e per il grande affetto che proviamo per le persone che ci lavorano.
Abbiamo scelto un abitino in tulle con una splendida gonna asimmetrica e lo abbiamo abbinato ad una fascia in pizzo ed un paio di ballerine con gale in tulle.
Ci piace da morire come le stava! E a voi?
