Aurora’s first steps

It seems yesterday that we hugged her for the first time, instead our baby Aurora has already turned nine months. A period full of discoveries and conquests, but perhaps never as in the last two months during which she slowly started to crawl, then stood up alone, and finally took the first steps.
Rather early compared to the average, as it happened to Anna and Alice, also our little one is taking her first steps. Mum looks at Aurora with a mixture of joy and sadness and she often repeats “my baby has already grown up!”. Her sisters follow her excited for this conquest, so important and delicate for her, and they compete to help her. In fact, each one of us hopes to be the first to see her leave her support and walk by herself.

I primi passi di Aurora

Sembra ieri che l’abbiamo abbracciata per la prima volta, ed invece la nostra piccola Aurora ha già compiuto nove mesi. Un periodo sempre ricco di scoperte e conquiste, ma forse mai come in questi ultimi due mesi in cui ha iniziato a poco a poco a gattonare, per poi mettersi in piedi da sola, ed infine muovere i primi passi.
Ebbene sì, abbastanza precocemente rispetto alla media, come era successo per Anna ed Alice, anche la piccolina sta muovendo i suoi primi passi. La mamma guarda Aurora con un misto di gioia e di tristezza e ripete spesso “la mia piccola è già diventata grande!”. Le sorelle la seguono emozionate per questa conquista, così importante e delicata per lei, e fanno a gara nell’aiutarla. Ciascuna infatti spera di essere la prima a vederla staccarsi dal suo sostegno e camminare in piena autonomia.

Anna loves to help Aurora taking her first steps, she supports her and teaches her how to put her feet.

Alice is more protective, she is very careful about the possible falls and she worries that her little sister gets scared.

Aurora seems to be very proud of her progress and when she walks away and then turns back to be reassured, we smile at her together and encourage her.

Anna si diverte un sacco ad aiutare Aurora a muovere i primi passi sorreggendola ed insegnandole come mettere i piedini.

Alice è più protettiva, sta attenta alle possibili cadute e si preoccupa che la sorellina non si spaventi troppo.

Aurora sembra essere molto orgogliosa dei suoi progressi e quando si allontana e poi si volta indietro per essere rassicurata, le sorridiamo tutte insieme e la incoraggiamo.

In questo momento di crescita psicofisica, è importante scegliere le scarpine giuste e per far questo ci sono alcuni punti da tenere in considerazione. Le scarpine devo essere realizzate con materiali di alta qualità, avere una suola morbida e flessibile, essere comode e della giusta misura.
