Halloween 2018 with three witches

Even if we are based in Italy, where Halloween is more about witches and Dracula look-a-likes, we usually come up with one or two DIY Halloween kids costumes in pure American style – see here.
Unfortunately, this year with baby Aurora mom did not make it! She went back to work at the end of August and due because daddy has spent lots of time in the USA, she did not have the free time required to create our DIY Halloween kids’ costumes.
But never mind, we came up with something funny anyway! We went for a more European witch make up and costume using this season kidswear – carry on reading for all the details! In addition, since Halloween is getting more and more popular in Europe as well, we could find some decorative (not edible) pumpkins that used as props and eventually carved! Baby Aurora got crazy with them and she kept on pushing them around the house!

Halloween 2018 con tre streghette

Anche se viviamo in Italia, dove Halloween è più incentrato sulle streghe e sui travestimenti modello Dracula, generalmente realizziamo uno o due costumi da bambini “fai da te” per Halloween, in puro stile americano – vedi qui.
Purtroppo, però, quest’anno con la piccola Aurora la mamma non ce l’ha proprio fatta! È tornata a lavorare alla fine di agosto e poiché il papà ha trascorso molto tempo negli Stati Uniti, non ha materialmente avuto il tempo libero necessario per realizzare i nostri costumi per Halloween.
Tutto sommato a noi non importa troppo, ed inoltre abbiamo comunque festeggiato organizzando qualcosa di molto divertente! Abbiamo optato per un più europeo trucco e costume da streghetta, attingendo alla moda bimbo di questa stagione – continuate a leggere per vedere tutti i dettagli! Inoltre, dal momento che Halloween sta diventando sempre più popolare anche in Europa, siamo riuscite a trovare alcune zucche decorative (non commestibili) che abbiamo usato per le foto e che poi abbiamo intagliato! La piccola Aurora è letteralmente impazzita per le zucche e ha continuato a spingerle in giro per casa tutta la sera!

Aurora’s witch costume comes from H&M Halloween 2018 capsule collection. Mom knows that the skirt is a bit too long for Aurora, but she loved it too much!

To complete the look, she is wearing a pair of Falcotto’s shoes. We love them, with the adorable writings and the glittering details. By the way, they are also available in black (here) or in silver (here).

Il costume da streghetta di Aurora appartiene alla capsule collection Halloween 2018 di H&M. La mamma sapeva che la gonna era un po’ troppo lunga per Auri, ma le piaceva troppo!

Abbiamo completato il look con un paio di scarpine di Falcotto. Ci piacciono da morire, con le adorabili scritte e gli stilosi dettagli scintillanti. A proposito, sono disponibili anche in nero (qui) o in argento (qui).

For our witches costumes we used a dress from Illudia fall winter 2018 collection.

The girls loved the black tulle petticoat with stars and we are sure it will be perfect also for the incoming Christmas holidays. On the other hand, the dark grey dress can be worn alone, also for going to school!

Per i nostri costumi da streghetta abbiamo pensato ad un abitino della collezione Autunno Inverno 2018 di Illudia.

Alle bimbe è piaciuta un sacco l’ampia sottoveste in tulle nero con tante stelle e la mamma è sicura che sarà perfetta anche per le prossime festività natalizie. Invece l’abitino grigio scuro può essere indossato da solo, anche per andare a scuola!
