Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend in the USA traditionally marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. In recent years, this tradition has quickly spread also in Europe and in Italy where it’s getting bigger and bigger (see also here). Based on the data published by criteo, in 2018 the shopping volume has been 3/4 times higher than comparable period, with an increase in the online sales of 251% on Friday only. Quite impressive!
We do not know about you, but this year we’ve been very bad (or good… it depends on the perspective!) and we’ve not purchased much! There are good reasons for that: mom has been very busy both at work and with some shootings. If you follow us on our social, you know that last Thursday and Friday we shot Morelli’s and Walkey’s spring summer 2019 digital campaign, with Ariana in charge of the photography! We spent all our free time before and after the shooting working on the styling!
As a result, this weekend we are planning to go in the Duomo are for Christmas shopping…which is not so bad after all. Speaking about the Duomo Square, this is where Ariana took these pictures of beautiful Ginevra in Valmax fall winter 2018. Would it be for the contrast of the stunning blue of the dress with the marble white of the Duomo, or for Ginevra’s beautiful blond hair, we cannot say, but on seeing these pictures our mind run to Cinderella and the scene of the night at the ball. Negli Stati Uniti, il lungo fine settimana che inizia con il Black Friday e finisce con il Cyber Monday, segna tradizionalmente l’avvio della stagione degli acquisti natalizi. Negli ultimi anni questa tradizione si è rapidamente diffusa anche in Europa ed in Italia dove sta crescendo esponenzialmente (vedi anche qui). Secondo i dati pubblicati da criteo, nel 2018 il volume degli acquisti è stato 3/4 volte superiore rispetto al periodo di riferimento, con un aumento delle vendite online del 251% nella sola giornata di venerdì. Impressionante!
Non sappiamo voi, ma noi quest’anno siamo state veramente pessime (oppure bravissime… dipende dal punto di vista!) e non abbiamo acquistato granché! In verità, ci sono buone ragioni a nostra discolpa: la mamma è stata molto impegnata sia al lavoro sia con la realizzazione di nuovi progetti. Se ci seguite sui nostri canali social, sapete infatti che giovedì e venerdì scorso abbiamo realizzato le campagne digitali per la primavera estate 2019 di Morelli e Walkey, insieme ad Ariana che ha curato la fotografia. Abbiamo trascorso tutto il nostro tempo libero prima e dopo gli shooting lavorando allo styling!
Di conseguenza, questo fine settimana abbiamo pianificato di andare in centro, nella zona del Duomo, per dedicarci allo shopping natalizio… il che, dopotutto, non è poi così male. A proposito del Duomo di Milano, è proprio qui che Ariana ha scattato queste foto di Ginevra in Valmax. Non sappiamo dire se sia per il contrasto dello splendido blu del vestito con il bianco marmoreo del Duomo, oppure per i meravigliosi capelli biondi di Ginevra, ma nel vedere queste foto ci è venuta in mente a Cenerentola, nella scena del ballo al palazzo reale con il principe! È lo stesso per voi? Fateci sapere!

Ginevra wears a sleeveless blue velvet dress that comes with a white t-shirt, all from Walmax fall winter 2018 collection.
To complete the look, a pair of sparkling pale blue ballerina shoes and a beautiful stars hairband from Illytrilly.

Per completare il look, un paio di scarpine azzurre glitterate ed un bellissimo cerchietto con stelle d’argento di Illytrilly.
