When to take down Christmas Tree with Aletta Fall Winter 2018
One of the most exciting moments of the Christmas season is decorating the Christmas tree! For us, it’s actually “the moment” that sets off the whole season and makes us feel that the most magical time of the year has eventually arrived.
We love to choose different decorations each time based on a colour pattern that we define all together at the beginning of December. This year we chose white and burgundy, with the addition of brown cones dusted with snow and white roses. We traditionally buy our Christmas decorations at Maison Du Monde and this year was no exception: we love their style.
And since we are a Sant’Ambrogio family, we decorated our Christmas tree during the second week of December. It’s when we took the photos that you see below, with Anna and Alice in one of the brand we love the most, Aletta – see also here. Kind of the perfect match for such an exciting activity!
But, if the “putting up” date is kind of consolidated in Italy, the one for taking the Christmas tree down isn’t as much. There are people who take down Christmas tree the day after Christmas while others wait for the first day of the year, which sounds rather soon to us! Traditionally, Catholics do not take down their Christmas trees and holiday decorations until January 7, the day after Epiphany and we are among them. So, we will wait till Monday and we will enjoy our Christmas tree for another two days.

Quando disfare l’albero di Natale con Aletta fall winter 2018
Uno dei momenti più belli ed intensi del periodo natalizio è la decorazione dell’albero di Natale! Per noi, in realtà è “il momento” che segna l’inizio dell’intera stagione delle feste e ci fa capire che il più magico periodo dell’anno è finalmente arrivato.
In quello che è una specie di rituale, scegliamo ogni anno delle decorazioni diverse seguendo un tema-colore che decidiamo tutte insieme all’inizio di dicembre. Quest’anno abbiamo optato per il bianco e il bordeaux, con l’aggiunta di pigne marroni spruzzate di neve e rose bianche. Tradizionalmente compriamo le nostre decorazioni natalizie da Maison Du Monde e quest’anno non ha fatto eccezione: adoriamo questo stile!
E poiché siamo una famiglia “di Sant’Ambrogio”, abbiamo decorato il nostro albero di Natale durante la seconda settimana di dicembre. É quando abbiamo scattato le foto che vedete qui sotto, con Anna e Alice in uno dei marchi che amiamo maggiormente, Aletta. Ci sembrava l’abbinamento perfetto per un’attività a noi così cara e sentita!
Ma se la data della preparazione dell’albero di Natale è piuttosto consolidata, quella in cui disfarlo non lo è altrettanto. Ci sono persone che lo fanno il giorno dopo Natale, mentre altre aspettano il primo giorno dell’anno, ma a noi sembra decisamente troppo presto! Secondo la tradizione cattolica, l’albero di Natale e le decorazioni natalizie si tengono fino al 7 gennaio, il giorno dopo l’Epifania, e noi la seguiamo. Quindi, aspetteremo fino a lunedì e ci godremo il nostro albero di Natale per altri due giorni.
