Lili Gaufrette fall winter 2018 blue taffeta in Verona
Verona is perhaps one of the most romantic cities in Italy, and it surely is one of the main tourist destinations because of its artistic heritage and the opera season in the Arena, the ancient amphitheater built by the Romans.
Part of its international fame is due to the fact that two of William Shakespeare’s plays are set there: Romeo and Juliet and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. When we decided with Ariana to set this shooting in Verona, mom made the point that she wanted to have it set in Juliet’s house! She thought that its refined and elegant atmosphere, with the most famous balcony in the world, would have perfectly suited Sofia’s blue taffeta dress by Lili Gaufrette (see also here).
Unfortunately, as already foreseen by Ariana (ah ah!), the place was crowded of people making their way through the narrow archway into the courtyard to admire and photograph the famous place. So, we decided to take it along these white stairs covered a luxury red carpet. And even if this is not Juliet’s house, we think that it is perfectly fit for the purpose! By the way, it reminded us about the Oscar night that will take place on Sunday 24th February. How do you like it?
Il taffeta blu di Lili Gaufrette per un sogno a Verona
Verona è forse una delle città più romantiche d’Italia, ed è sicuramente una delle principali destinazioni turistiche del nostro paese per il suo patrimonio artistico e per la stagione lirica dell’Arena, l’antico anfiteatro costruito dai Romani.
Parte della sua notorietà internazionale è dovuta al fatto che due opere di William Shakespeare sono ambientate lì: Romeo e Giulietta e i due gentiluomini di Verona. Quando con Ariana abbiamo deciso di realizzare questo shooting a Verona, la mamma ha detto subito che voleva ambientarlo nella casa di Giulietta! Era convinta che la sua atmosfera raffinata ed elegante, con il balcone più famoso del mondo, si adattasse perfettamente all’abitino blu in taffetà di Lili Gaufrette indossato da Sofia (date un’occhiata anche qui).
Purtroppo, come aveva già previsto da Ariana (ah ah!), il posto era pieno di persone che si facevano strada attraverso lo stretto passaggio nel cortile per ammirare e fotografare la casa. Così, abbiamo cambiato direzione e deciso di scattare le foto lungo questa elegante scalinata marmorea con un lussuoso tappeto rosso. Anche se non è la casa di Giulietta, crediamo che alla fine sia perfetta! Inoltre, ci ricorda la notte degli Oscar che si terrà domenica 25 febbraio! Vi piace? Cosa ne dite?

Sofia is wearing a sophisticated blue taffeta dress from Lili Gaufrette fall winter 2018 collection.
This special occasion dress is decorated with velvet bows both in the front and on the back.
We matched it with a linear blue hairband and a pair of blue patent leather shoes.

Sofia indossa un sofisticato abitino in taffetà blu della collezione autunno inverno 2018 di Lili Gaufrette.
Questo abitino, pensato per la cerimonia e le occasioni speciali, é impreziosito con dei fiocchi di velluto blu, sia sul davanti che sulla scollatura dietro.
Lo abbiamo abbinato con un cerchietto blu e delle ballerine in vernice blu.
