What to do in Luxembourg City with kids and Paper Cup spring summer 2019 collection
Are you going to spend some time in Luxembourg and wondering what to do? We bet you are in the right place to find out! If you follow us on our social, you already know that at the end of July we spent a week there, and we are now ready to share our list of what to do in Luxembourg. Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in the world and it is more like a large town than a country, so it’s easy to visit in a short timeframe. But, if you only have a day or two, we recommend sticking to the city centre since it’s incredibly nice and there’s lots to see! We stayed in Luxembourg for a week, but the girls went on a summer camp and mom had to work, so we had limited free time for exploring the country and we focused on Luxembourg City.
The best place to start your visit is from the viaduct bridge or passerelle which is a great spot to get your first view of Luxembourg City. We did so, and we stopped to play with the girls in the area around the lift that takes to the Grund (the lower part of the Luxembourg City). This is where we took the first set of pictures that you see below.

Pensate di trascorrere del tempo in Lussemburgo e vi state chiedendo cosa fare? Siamo pronte a scommettere che siete nel posto giusto per scoprirlo! Se ci seguite sui nostri canali social, infatti, sapete già che alla fine di luglio vi abbiamo trascorso una settimana ed ora siamo pronte a condividere la nostra lista di cosa fare in Lussemburgo.
Il Lussemburgo è uno dei paesi più piccoli al mondo ed in verità è più simile ad una grande città che ad una nazione, quindi si può visitare in poco tempo. Tuttavia, se avete solo un giorno o due, vi consigliamo di rimanere nel centro della città poiché è molto bello e ci sono molte cose da vedere! Noi abbiamo trascorso in Lussemburgo una settimana, ma Anna ed Alice frequentavano un campus estivo mentre la mamma lavorava, quindi ci è rimasto poco tempo libero per visitare il paese e ci siamo concentrate sulla città.Il posto migliore per iniziare il tour è il ponte del viadotto o passerella, un luogo perfetto per ammirare la città di Lussemburgo per la prima volta. Noi siamo partite da lì e ci siamo fermate a giocare nella zona vicino all’ascensore che porta al Grund (la parte bassa della città di Lussemburgo). Qui è dove abbiamo scattato la prima serie di foto che vedete qui sotto.
What to do in Luxembourg City with kids
From there, we followed the “Chemin de la Corniche” – also known as “the most beautiful balcony of Europe” – a super-scenic pedestrian walk all the way to the Bock Casemates. The walk is only about 500 meters long, and it’s one of the coolest things to do in Luxembourg City. The view is spectacular, and the girls enjoyed it very much! We did not visit the Casemates du Bock this time, because we preferred staying outdoor, but we highly encourage you to do it.
We moved back to the city centre to see some of the most iconic places: the Grand Ducal Palace and the Parliament of Luxembourg, Place d’Armes and Place Guillaume II, then the Cathédrale Notre-Dame.
We ended our tour in the Grund, where we had a lovely dinner in one of the great pubs along the river and enjoyed the “village atmosphere” of this quiet part of the city.
This is all for now, but our daddy has eventually moved there, and we are planning to go back and explore the area around Luxembourg City. So, stay tuned for more posts and hints on what to do in Luxembourg!

Cosa fare in Lussemburgo con i bambini
Da lì, abbiamo seguito il “Chemin de la Corniche” – noto anche come “il balcone più bello d’Europa” – che è una passeggiata pedonale super-scenica che arriva fino alle Casemates du Bock. É lunga solo 500 metri ed è una delle attività che ci sono piaciute maggiormente. Il panorama è spettacolare e le bimbe si sono divertite moltissimo! Questa volta non abbiamo visitato l’interno delle Casemates du Bock, perché abbiamo preferito rimanere all’aperto, ma vi consigliamo vivamente di farlo.
Siamo infine tornati nel centro della città per vedere alcuni dei luoghi più iconici: il Palazzo Granducale e il Parlamento del Lussemburgo, Place d’Armes e Place Guillaume II, poi la Cathédrale Notre-Dame. Abbiamo terminato il nostro tour nel Grund, dove abbiamo cenato in uno dei carinissimi pub che si trovano lungo il fiume e ci siamo godute l’atmosfera “da villaggio” di questa zona tranquilla della città.
Questo è tutto per ora, ma il papà si è trasferito in Lussemburgo per lavoro e stiamo già programmando quando tornarci di nuovo per esplorare tutta l’area intorno alla città. Quindi, continuate a seguirci per nuovi post e suggerimenti su cosa fare in Lussemburgo!
