Fteri beach Kefalonia in MSGM Kids swimming spring summer 2019
We arrived to Fteri beach quite accidentally… and it has been the best “accident” of our summer holiday.
That morning we were planning to go and see Antinamos beach, but since we managed to get of our house in Asos very late, we eventually decided to get to a closer destination and opted for Fteri beach which is less than half an hour drive.
We originally wanted to reach the beach by foot, so we drove there via google map, but the last part of the road is unpaved and the 40-50 minutes walking path towards the beach is not very well sign posted. If you are determined to go via the land route, we recommend watching one of the videos that you can find on youtube and study them beforehand. Being with the girls, we decided to go back and take the sea route.
We headed to Zola Village and took a water taxi for 15 euros each return. It is a lovely little trip that takes about 15 minutes and it allows to see the beautiful coast and other little beaches called blue lagoon.
Fteri beach is something closed to heaven! It is one of the most beautiful and hidden beaches of Kefalonia with turquoise waters, white perfect pebbles and unique scenery. Definitely one of the most beautiful (and quite) beaches we’ve ever seen! So you should not miss it!
A final note: you should equip yourself with all needed because the beach is completely devoid of services and there is absolutely nothing but pebbles.

Siamo arrivati alla spiaggia di Fteri per caso ed è stata la miglior fatalità della nostra vacanza estiva.
Quella mattina avevamo deciso di andare a vedere la spiaggia di Antinamos, ma essendo uscite di casa ad Asos molto tardi, all’ultimo minuto abbiamo deciso di puntare ad una destinazione più vicina e abbiamo optato per la spiaggia di Fteri a meno di una mezz’ora di auto.
Inizialmente volevamo raggiungere la spiaggia a piedi. Abbiamo raggiunto il luogo indicato da google map, ma l’ultima parte della strada non era asfaltata e il percorso a piedi di circa 40-50 minuti non era ben segnalato. Se siete determinati a percorrere la strada via terra, vi consigliamo di guardare uno dei video che potete trovare su YouTube e studiarlo bene in anticipo. Essendo per giunta con le bimbe, noi abbiamo deciso di tornare indietro e prendere la rotta del mare.
Ci siamo diretti al villaggio di Zola e abbiamo preso un taxi acquatico del costo di 15 euro ciascuno andata e ritorno. È un viaggio molto carino che dura circa 15 minuti e permette di vedere la bellissima costa e delle altre piccole spiagge chiamate laguna blu.
La spiaggia di Fteri è qualcosa di vicino al paradiso! – come potete vedere anche dalle foto qui sotto.È una delle spiagge più belle e nascoste di Cefalonia con acque turchesi, ciottoli bianchi e uno scenario unico. Sicuramente una delle spiagge più belle (e tranquille) che abbiamo mai visto! Quindi vi consigliamo di non perderlo!
Una nota conclusiva: equipaggiatevi con tutto il necessario perché la spiaggia è completamente priva di servizi e non c’è assolutamente nulla se non i ciottoli.
