Fun Fun fall winter 2019 collection visiting Pier 7 in San Francisco
Could mum go to San Francisco (see here) without organising something for our kids fashion blog? Well, she could not! Although this time she couldn’t have made it without the kindness of Chloe and her mother Heather, our partners in crime for this editorial. Girls: thank you again for the availability and the time you spent with us!
After a week of conference, client meetings and business dinners, on Saturday mum took a day off and went to visit the city. She got on a cable car down to the Embarcadero, reached the Ferry Building and walked from there headed towards Fisherman’s Wharf passing by all the city’s piers. Perhaps not as popular as Pier 39, Pier 7 is a large wooden structure, with ornamented handrails and antique-styled lamps that makes it a unique and evocative place. This is the reason why we choose it as a setting for this shooting.
We were there at sunset, when the light was softer, and we could take photos of the Bay Bridge and the Treasure Island. Here you can see beautiful Chloe wearing a short-sleeved dress from Fun Fun fall winter 2019 collection characterised by a blue and yellow tartan. “Re-visited tartan” is one of the strongest trend this season, and this is an example of how the traditional check pattern has been redefined playing with colours. We completed this look with a pair of black booties from Dr. Martens and a red beret.

La mamma sarebbe potuta andare a San Francisco (vedi qui) senza organizzare qualcosa per il nostro blog di moda bimbi? Beh, ovviamente no! Anche se questa volta non ce l’avrebbe mai potuta fare senza la gentilezza di Chloe e di sua mamma Heather, le nostre “partner-in-crime” per questo editoriale. Ragazze: grazie ancora per la disponibilità ed il tempo che avete trascorso con noi!
Dopo una settimana di conferenza, incontri con i clienti e cene di lavoro, sabato la mamma si è presa un giorno di libertà ed è andata a visitare la città. É salita sul vecchio tram fino all’Embarcadero, ha raggiunto il Ferry Building e da lì si è diretta verso Fisherman’s Wharf passando lungo tutti i moli cittadini. Forse non popolare quanto il Pier 39, il Pier 7 è una grande struttura in legno, con corrimani decorati e lampade in stile antico, che lo rendono un posto unico e suggestivo. Questa è la ragione per cui lo abbiamo scelto come location per il nostro servizio.
Ci siamo andate al tramonto, quando la luce era più gentile e potevamo scattare foto di Bay Bridge e di Treasure Island. Qui potete vedere la bellissima Chloe con indosso un abitino a maniche corte della collezione Autunno Inverno 2019 di Fun Fun, caratterizzato da un motivo scozzese blu e giallo. Il tartan rivisitato è uno dei trend più forti della stagione e questo è uno degli esempi di come il tradizionale motivo a quadri è stato ridefinito giocando con i colori. Abbiamo completato questo look con un paio di scarponcini neri di Dr. Martens e un basco rosso.
