Weekend in London with kids and Monnalisa fall winter 2019 collection
If you follow us on our social, you know that two weeks ago we spent a weekend in London. We went there for the feast of the “Immacolata”, the Italian public holiday celebrated annually on December 8 to commemorate the immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary. This year it felt on Sunday, so we all took Friday off – school and work – to stay in London three days.
London is one of mom’s most loved cities and now we know why! Museums, theater shows, theme parks, shops and attractions; there is plenty to do during a weekend in London with kids of any age. This time, since the weather was great – believe it or not, it never rained! – and the Christmas lights where so inviting, we decided to stay outdoor.
Weekend in London with kids: the three walking itineraries we took
The first day we went to see the change of the guard at Buckingham Palace, then we took a long walk through Saint James Park where the girls wanted to have lunch. We then walked through the Household Cavalry Museum up to Trafalgar Square where we got lost in the Christmas markets. We ended our day in Piccadilly Circus not before visiting the nearby Lego store and M&M’s world.
The second day we went to visit Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster. We crossed the Thames on Westminster Bridge to head north for the London eye. We took a ride on the amazing wheel and, if we had to choose, we’d choose this as the top thing to see during a weekend in London with kids. We ended our day in Covent Garden, reached via Waterloo bridge, and had dinner close to Carnaby Street
The third day we went to see the Millennium bridge with Saint Paul’s church, and then we went to visit the Tower of London and walked onto the world-famous Tower Bridge where we got an amazing view of the city.

Un fine settimana a Londra con i bambini e la collezione autunno inverno 2019 di Monnalisa
Se ci seguite sui nostri canali social, sapete che due settimane fa abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana a Londra. Ci siamo andate per l’immacolata, la festa che si celebrata ogni anno l’8 dicembre per commemorare l’immacolata concezione della Vergine Maria. Quest’anno è caduta di domenica, allora ci siamo prese tutte il venerdì – dalla scuola e dal lavoro – per rimanere a Londra tre giorni.
Londra è una delle città più amate della mamma ed ora sappiamo anche noi perché! Musei, spettacoli teatrali, parchi a tema, negozi e attrazioni; c’è moltissimo da fare in un fine settimana a Londra con i bambini di ogni età. Questa volta, dato che il tempo era splendido – che ci crediate o no, non ha mai piovuto! – e le luci di Natale erano così invitanti, abbiamo deciso di rimanere all’aperto.
Fine settimana a Londra con in bambini: i tre itinerari a piedi che abbiamo scelto
Il primo giorno abbiamo assistito al cambio della guardia a Buckingham Palace, poi abbiamo fatto una lunga passeggiata in Saint James Park dove le bimbe hanno voluto rimanere per pranzo. Abbiamo quindi attraversato Household Cavalry Museum e svoltato a sinistra verso a Trafalgar Square, dove ci siamo perse nei mercatini di Natale. Abbiamo concluso la nostra giornata a Piccadilly Circus non prima di aver visitato il vicino Lego Store e M&M world.
Il secondo giorno siamo andate a visitare l’Abbazia di Westminster e il Palazzo di Westminster. Abbiamo attraversato il Tamigi sul ponte di Westminster per dirigerci a nord verso il London Eye. Abbiamo fatto un giro sulla ruota della città e, se dovessimo scegliere, indicheremmo proprio questa come l’attrazione migliore da vedere durante un weekend a Londra con i bambini. Abbiamo concluso la nostra giornata a Covent Garden, che abbiamo raggiunto attraverso il ponte di Waterloo, e abbiamo cenato vicino a Carnaby Street.
Il terzo giorno siamo andati a vedere il Millennium Bridge con la chiesa di Saint Paul, e poi siamo andate a visitare la Torre di Londra e abbiamo camminato sul famosissimo Tower Bridge da cui ci siamo godute una straordinaria vista della città.
