Why we like check coats and Fun Fun girls red check coat
We have to admit that we are a fun of check coats,,, and not just for the little ones!
Why is that? Well, first we think is perfect for mid-season, spring or autumn it does not really matter, and it solves the problem of how to dress our kids during these transition periods. This is particularly true this year since the weather flip flops so much that it makes it impossible to know if you need a boots or sandals for stepping outside.
Secondly, a checked coat can be rightly considered a timeless wardrobe staple and it can be easily wore more than one season without giving the impression of being out of fashion. Believe it or not, with three girls this is a point that we often take into account when shopping for them!
Finally, it is a very versatile item that can be wore in so many ways. It can be dressed up, worn with a smart wide-leg trouser, a roll neck and a pair of loafer, or dressed high-low with a pair of mid-wash jeans, a hoodie and a pair of sneakers.
In the pictures below, you can see Azzurra wearing a stunning red, white and blue coat in a large houndstooth pattern by Fun & Fun. We have styled it with a white turtle neck and jeans. We completed the look with a pair of blue Chelsea boots – that we’ve just heard at MICAM will be very trendy next year – and a French red cloche!

Il cappotto a quadri perché ci piace e la proposta in rosso di Fun Fun
Dobbiamo ammettere che abbiamo un debole per i cappotti a quadri… e non solo per i più piccoli!
Perché? Beh, innanzitutto crediamo che il cappotto a quadri sia un capo perfetto per la mezza stagione, primavera o autunno poco importa, e risolve il problema di come vestire i nostri bambini in questi periodi di passaggio. Questo poi è particolarmente vero quest’anno in cui gli sbalzi meteorologici sono stati così tanti da non saper più se uscire con gli stivali o con i sandali.
In secondo luogo, il cappotto a quadri viene a ragione considerato un capo senza tempo e può essere facilmente indossato per più di una stagione senza dare l’impressione di essere fuori moda. E che ci crediate o no, con tre bimbe questo è un aspetto che spesso teniamo in considerazione quando facciamo acquisti per loro!
Infine, è un capo molto versatile che può essere indossato in tantissimi modi. Per occasioni più importanti può essere abbinato ad un pantalone elegante stile palazzo, una dolcevita ed un paio di scarpe da ginnastica, oppure per tutti i giorni può essere portato con dei jeans slavati, una felpa con cappuccio e un paio di scarpe da ginnastica.
Nelle foto qui sotto, vedete Azzurra che indossa uno splendido cappotto rosso, bianco e blu di Fun & Fun caratterizzato da un grande motivo pied-de-poule. Lo abbiamo abbinato ad un dolcevita bianca ed un paio di jeans risvoltati. Abbiamo completato il suo look con un paio di scarpe blu style Chelsea – che abbiamo appena visto a MICAM essere di grande tendenza per il prossimo anno – ed un cappello a cloche rosso che abbiamo preso a Parigi!
