The world is our kingdom fashion show from il gufo to present their fall winter 2020/21 collection. With this blog post we carry on adding to our reportage from Pitti Bimbo 90 trade show held in Florence last month to present all the kids fashion trends FW20.
Il gufo always take to stage a spectacular show and this was no exception with a big “new kingdom” theme. The show imagined what if all the power in the world was in children’s hands, just for one day! What would they come up with? They would make a new kingdom based on the principles they spelt out on the placards brandished to stage: “Royalty lies in what you do”, “Make Kindness your Weapon”, “Mother Nature is our Queen”, “Defenders of the Earth”. The eco-friendly mantra has been the feel rouge of this winter fare and we’ve seen it in several of the fashion shows that took place during Pitti Bimbo 90 and across childrenswear collections for FW20.
Il gufo fw20 fashion show was held on the 16th of January in the amazing setting of the vaulted refectory of Santa Maria Novella, the first great basilica in Florence, and it has been beautifully captured by Emily Kornya in the photos below.

The world is our kingdom questo il titolo della sfilata de Il Gufo per la presentazione della collezione autunno inverno 2020/21. Con questo post proseguiamo con il reportage da Pitti Bimbo 90, tenutosi a Firenze il mese scorso per la presentazione delle tendenze moda bimbo FW20.
Il gufo ci ha abituato a sfilate meravigliose e anche per questa edizione il marchio di Asolo non ha fatto eccezione portando in scena un grande spettacolo dal tema il “nuovo regno”. Immagina che per un giorno il potere del mondo sia tutto nelle mani dei bambini! Che cosa escogiterebbero? Darebbero vita ad un “nuovo regno” basato su principi scritti a chiare lettere sui cartelli sventolati dal palco nella scena di apertura: “La nobiltà sta in ciò che fai”, “La tua arma sarà la gentilezza”, “Madre natura è la nostra regina”, “Difensori della terra”. Il mantra eco-friendly è stato il feel rouge di questa fiera invernale. L’abbiamo visto in molte delle sfilate che si sono svolte durante Pitti Bimbo 90 e rappresentato nelle collezioni di moda bimbo per la FW20.
La sfilata de il gufo fw20 si è tenuta il 16 gennaio 2020 nella splendida cornice del refettorio di Santa Maria Novella, la sontuosa basilica di Firenze, ed è stata magnificamente immortalata da Emily Kornya nelle foto che vedete qui sotto.

A Scottish feel and college references are the leitmotifs of the opening looks on the runway. A colour pallet plaid in blue and billiard cloth green, combined with caramel yellow or a more traditional burgundy and red. We think they are just perfect for the back to school.
Atmosfere scozzesi e riferimenti collegiali sono i leitmotiv dei look di apertura della sfilata. Una pallet cromatica blu e verde biliardo, accostati al giallo caramello o ai più tradizionali bordeaux e rosso. Crediamo siano perfetti per il back to school 2020.

The neo-classical style with decorative floral motifs and the aubusson tapestries have inspired the second set of looks that walked down the catwalk. Soft powdery colours such as aurora or sugared almond pink, mauve, light blue or cloud are the signature colour of this theme. We confess that this is the line that we loved the most!
Il gusto neoclassico con motivi decorativi floreali e le manifatture aubusson hanno ispirato il secondo set di look che ha sfilato in passerella. Colori tenui e polverosi come il rosa aurora o il rosa confetto, il malva, l’azzurro talco o il nuvola sono le tinte distintive di questo tema. Confessiamo che questa è la linea che ci é piaciuta maggiormente!

The wildest and unsullied nature of the Scottish Highlands are the perfect setting for the third looks seen during il gufo fw20 fashion. Shades of lime and olive green are here mixed with terracotta, caramel and beige.
La natura selvaggia e incontaminata delle Highlands scozzesi è la cornice perfetta per il terzo gruppo di look che abbiamo visto durante la sfilata de il gufo fw20. Le tonalità del verde tiglio e oliva si mescolano qui al terracotta, al caramello e al beige.

The final procession representing the highlight of the show has brought to stage a succession of chic and sophisticated looks. Jewelled embroidery, gleams of lurex thread, pearls, baguette beads and Swarovski crystals, meticulously handmade these are the sophisticated elements of the last set of looks.
La parata finale ha rappresentato il momento apicale dello spettacolo e ha portato in scena un susseguirsi di look chic e sofisticati. Ricami gioiello, bagliori di filo di lurex, perline, baguettes e Swarovski meticolosamente ricamati a mano: questi i sofisticati elementi dei look di chiusura!
