Ceremony dresses in the time of coronavirus and Aletta couture spring summer 2020

Last weekend marked the beginning of spring – the first day was actually Friday March 20th. For us, this usually means starting to talk about the new kids fashion spring summer collections. We traditionally kick-off the new season featuring special occasion dresses (see here), linking them to bridal season and Milan bridal week, Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni.
This year everything is different! Due to the Coronavirus outbreak the Milan based leading exhibition in the sector of bridal wear originally set for 17-20 April, has been rescheduled for 25-28 June 2020. Couples with weddings in this period of the year have been forced to postpone them. Finally, at least in Italy, all the religious ceremonies, traditionally taking place in spring have been suspended in keeping with government rulings to curb the contagion.
So, why talking about ceremony dresses in the time of coronavirus? Because we want, and to a certain extend, we need to think that these are just postponement. Because wedding and ceremonies are the best and happiest moments of our lives and we want to give ourselves a treat after those long days of quarantine (for us exactly 38) and cheer us up. As per our tradition, for this first blog post, we’ve chosen to feature Aletta couture spring summer 2002 collection (see also here).
