Easter in the time of coronavirus and feasting in lockdown with our kids
What is happening these days has no memories in most of us. The coronavirus crisis is challenging us in ways we couldn’t have even imagined only a couple of months ago: loss of various type and severity, deprivations, restraints. Most of us is living compressed in an unknown context (even if they are at home), facing new dynamics with people called family. The others, being alone and departed from their beloved, are facing themselves. Not to mention those who are suffering from the virus and are laying sick somewhere.
We are living in a period suspended in time during which we are trying to re-create our “normality” to feel safe and protected. This acts of resiliency against the social distancing and isolation help us to carry on feeling “ourselves”! Today it was Easter in the time of Coronavirus, in other words #easterathome for everyone, but we did not want to damp the spirit. This is why we woke up anxious to celebrate the day, we combed our hair and put on some make up. We chose our best dress, the one for special occasions, and even if we stayed at home we had a very bright and happy day.
We want to thank Emma for having embodied so well all these feelings and helped us, together with Ariana, to beautifully represent them so to share them here with you!
