Monnalisa Mini-Me matching outfits for Mother’s Day spring summer 2020

Mother’s Day 2020 is just around the corner and we could not think of a better way to celebrate it on our kids fashion blog than featuring some mini-me looks!

Mother’s Day falls on various days in many parts of the world most commonly in March or May. In Italy, it is celebrated the second Sunday of May, thus is May 10. Traditionally, it is a day to honour all mothers’ and a way of celebrating the concept of motherhood and maternal bonds. Being a family with three daughters, we know that the mon-and-daughter relationship is very diverse and unique. (for better or for worse ah! ah!)

This special relationship can take the form of mommy-and-me outfits.

The matchy-matchy trend has cycled for decades, and it has been recently boosted by celebrities. First Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes, then Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian just to name some of the most popular. And it is far from disappearing to the point that mother-daughter dressing has been highlighted as the “mantra” of the spring summer 2020 kids’ collections.
No longer confined to capsules, it permeates the new collections of designer labels and large kids wear companies like never. An increasingly involving game for kids and adults, born to underline the mutual relationship of affection and understanding but also the complicity of generations in comparison.
