Friendship at the time of Coronavirus
Friendship at the time of Coronavirus among FaceTime phot-shootings and virtual playdates
The last four months have been very tough for all of us, for various reasons and with different levels of severity. Our kids suffered too! Social distancing and schools closure have made life difficult also for them. Talking with the girls, what they regretted the most has been being apart from their friends and not being able to play with them anymore.
As our regular readers already know, friendship is one of the cornerstone of our kids fashion blog and we suffered as well from not being able to meet our “digital” friends and create new editorials with them! Together with Ariana, we discuss about it and we decided to organise some virtual photo-shoot sessions to celebrate friendship in the time of Coronavirus.
Here is the result! We hope you’ll like it!
Friendship at the time of Coronavirus – FaceTime photo-shooting
In the photos below you can see Chiara at home and Ariana taking pictures of her from a remote location during a FaceTime call. Unlike normal shoots, Ariana had to instruct Chiara on where to position her phone and remind here to make sure her screen was clean. As you can see, they had a great time and collected a happy memory of this complicated period.

Set up virtual Playdates to keep connected
Apps, websites, and services like Zoom, FaceTime and WhatsApp, just to name a few, made it possible for kids to have some digital time with friends. We have seen them virtually met up with group of friends or simply chat one-on-one with buddy for a few minutes. In the photos below you can see Emma at home in Turin with Ariana (they quarantined together) during a virtual playdate with Ginevra and Giulia that were in Milan. She took also these picture via FaceTime call but with a technique different than the one used for Chiara. Ariana is planning to continue the virtual photo shoots even after coronavirus crisis, making it easier for those unable to attend in-person shoots.

Friendship at the time of Coronavirus – Back to real
To everyone’s joy, starting from June we can finally meet our friends again in-person, although it is still forbidden to organise assemblies. In the photos below, taken for us by Debora Gatti, you can see Costanza and her sis Diletta meet with their dear friends Federico and Francesco. It was so cheerful to see them play and have fun together again.

Note on clothes: Chiara, Emma, Ginevra, Giulia, Costanza, Diletta, Francesco and Federico are wearing t-shirts from Calliope Kids Spring Summer 2020 collection supplied by FKF.
