Visiting the ghost town of Consonno in GCDS mini fall winter 2020/2021
We were looking for a street style place to set our GCDS mini shooting and we found Consonno!
Consonno is a ghost town located in the municipality of Olginate (Province of Lecco), about an hour’s drive from Milan. In the early sixties, the ancient medieval village was completely upset by the eccentric plan of Count Mario Bagno, a singular entrepreneur who decided to buy it and create the “city of toys”. All the old houses were demolished to create new commercial and entertainment buildings, in the most varied architectural forms, and bring to live a sort of “Las Vegas” of the Brianza. In the original plans, also a basketball court, a football field, a minigolf course, a zoological garden and even an auto-drome were to be built. Unfortunately, after the initial attention, mainly due to a series of landslides, the town fell into oblivion before the restyling was over. Now, the village is known to many as “ghost town”.
We fell in love with the story of this place and eventually decided to go there with the girls, not only to visit it but also to set our GCDS mini shooting. GCDS, aka ‘God Can’t Destroy Streetwear”, is a Made-in-Italy clothing brand founded in 2015 by brothers Giuliano and Giordano Calza. It is well known for its ironic graphics, memorable slogans, and unexpected capsule collaborations, all of which have garnered the support of the world’s most influential tastemakers. GCDS mini is the junior’s line of the brand and shares its DNA with the adult lines.

GCDS kids fall winter 2020/2021 for girls – Alice’s leopard tracksuit
For Alice we have chosen a leopard print tracksuit with a hooded sweatshirt with a large pink fluo logo on the front. A black and yellow stripe with a little pink fluo logo along the sides characterises the whole outfit: we find it along the sides of the trousers and on the sleeves and the back of the sweatshirt. We completed the look with a pair of pink fluo round sunglasses and a pair of pink fluo and white sneakers by Jarrett shoes.
GCDS junior fall winter 2020/2021 collection for girls – Anna’s pink and black outfit
For Anna we have chosen a three pieces outfit characterised by a pink fluo sweatshirt with a large black logo on the front combined with a black tulle skirt with elasticised logo band at the waist. We have completed the look with a stunning black hooded jacket in soft faux fur with “I love GCDS” embroidered on the back and GCDS logo at the chest. We have styled it with a pair of black boots by Dianetti.
