We decorated our Christmas tree of navy blue and gold inspired by Alberta Ferretti Junior We come from the Stars Xmas capsule collection.
When it comes to decorating Christmas trees, we think that anything goes and it is really just a matter of personal taste! For most families the Christmas tree is a very personal and special statement (perhaps unique) with some decorations filled with memories and affections. In our case, every year we combine old and dear decorations with new ones, that we then hang together. Being a kids fashion blog, some years ago we started to choose the latter based on the colour combinations that we liked most in the kids fashion collections of the current fall winter – see also here! It might sound venial, but inspiration should come from somewhere and so why not from our greatest passion!
This year we took inspiration from the colours of We come from the stars Xmas capsule collection by Alberta Ferretti Junior. Conceived for girls (aged 4 to 14), it is the mini-me capsule of the adults one launched for Christmas 2019. The message written in golden threads on midnight blue is “We come from the Stars” for a line that connects with the universe.
Navy or royal blue is a staple colour for Christmas and it teams very well with gold (see here for more colours of Christmas), so we thought it was just perfect for the festivities! Do you like it? Let us know and best wishes to everyone.

Alice wears the eco-sustainable pullover which is a reinterpretation of the iconic Rainbow Week knitwear model. It is made of navy-blue recycled cashmere with contrasting stars embroidery in gold lurex thread. We have matched it with a navy-blue tulle skirts with gold embroidery.

Anna wears the balloon-sleeve cotton sweatshirt of the capsule, in the same navy blue with contrasting stars printed in gold and the writing We come from the Stars on the front. We have matched it with the same navy tulle skirt with embroidery in gold as Alice’s.
