Lorna Murray Spring Summer 2021
“Little green thumbs” and Lorna Murray hats for girls
Between us and Lorna Murray hats for girls it has been love at first sight! We saw Lorna Murray Spring Summer hats for girls during the Pitti Bimbo 89 runway in a collaboration with the renowned Indian brand “Pero”, in Florence in 2019 – you can see it here. Since then, we have been looking forward to introducing them to you on our kids’ fashion blog, and now we are very excited to be able to do so!
For those who do not know it, Lorna Murray is an ethical and sustainable Australian brand “where effortless glamour meets coastal bohemian” for both women and girls. We think that Lorna Murray’s distinctive design is perfect for those wanting an everyday sun-safe yet stylish addition to their attire, as a luxe fashion statement.
In the photos below, you can see Alice and Giulia wearing two Capri hats. Capri is Lorna Murray’s original hat design, featuring a mid-length brim and it is carefully handcrafted from 100% natural organic grass fibres. The Capri hat is specifically designed to collapse and fold like origami, due to the sun-ray pleats, for ease of travel. Optional ties are provided at the base of each hat to be used for anchoring during breezes.

In particular, Alice is wearing the “Paradiso Capri Child” featuring a vibrant blend of aqua, ruby red, cobalt, chocolate and black and white thread colours woven in striped sections through its base of both natural and magenta hand-dyed fibres to create a check pattern, with sea foam green cotton trimming. We have matched with a dark pink dress from Le Petite Coco spring summer 2021 collection. Giulia is wearing the “San Callisto Capri Child” featuring similar colours of Alice’s but with camel brown cotton trimming. We have matched it with a pink dress from Balmain spring summer 2021 collection.
Shot by our friend Ariana Currò, this series was conceived as the other side of our “Blossoming Beauty” Kids Fashion Editorial. The first one represents the ladies of the castle, in this one, we imagined the palace gardener intent on taking care of the gardens! And that’s where we got the “green thumbs” idea! By the way, if you look closely, two gardeners are missing from this series! We will share them very soon, so stay tuned!

We thank Lorna Murray for Alice and Giulia hats from Lorna Murray Spring Summer 2021 collection for girls.
