Florens kids sandals and English Summer Camp
How we choose our English Summer Camp with Anna in Florens Kids sandals summer 2022
If you follow us on our socials, you know that at the beginning of July we spent two weeks in the U.K. to attend our first English Summer Camp. We received many questions about this trip through Instagram and in direct. Thus, we decided to write a blog post in which to answer them, sharing our experience and hints on what to consider when choosing.
Now, how can you choose the “perfect” English Summer Camp for you and your children? This is a hard question and we are not able to answer it (ah,ah). However, we can tell you how we chose ours and why. Internet reviews and browsing camp websites helped us, but so too did talking to the girls!
How can you choose the “perfect” English Summer Camp for you and your children
In our case, as a first thing, we decided whether to go to the U.K. as a family or to just send Anna and Alice. While Anna, who is twelve, was willing to go alone, Alice who is nine did not feel comfortable with it. So, in the end we all decided to go there.
This had a big impact on our English Summer Camp selection, mainly because of the location. Since Aurora and the nanny would also come (mom was smart working), we decided to choose a seaside location so they could go to the beach during the day. Furthermore, not all the English Summer Camp allow you to arrange your own accommodation, but only homestay. This was another criterion to eliminate a wide swath of camps from our list.
Another determining factor in our choice has been Alice’s age. Not all the English Summer Camps accept kids of her age or offer a full day schedule. The English Summer Camp we selected included 20 English lessons per week (4 lessons of 45 minutes a day from 8.45 AM to 12.15 PM). Then, the girls had lunch at school (in the internal canteen) and spent the afternoon till 4.30 PM doing sports and leisure activities. Two days a week they had evening activities that ended around 8.00 PM. Every Wednesday they took a half-day excursion, while on Saturday a full-day one.
For all these reasons, we went to Bournemouth in the Dorset at the Anglo Continental School where we took the Young Learners’ Course (you can find all the details here). We booked our accommodation through booking, while for the school wrote directly to them (we did not use an agency) and we rented a car at the airport. The girls (and the nanny) had a great time, and we are determined to go back to the U.K.
We leave you to some pics we took on the beach in Bournemouth with Anna wearing a pair of Florens kids sandals summer 2022. And if you have any other questions, just comment down below!
Anna at the Alum Chine Beach during our stay in Bournemouth
As we have already written, we went to the U.K. the first two weeks of July. Although the weather was very good, it was definitely cooler than in Italy, especially in the early days. In our free time, we loved to take a stroll along the seafront. Bournemouth is famous for its seven miles of golden sandy beach.
In the pics below you can see Anna during such walks wearing the gold Tresses sandals by Florens. They are super glam and embellished our black outfit with a unique touch. We completed the look with a gold bag and a pair of black sunglasses! Do you like it?
